Queersgiving is one of those rare gatherings where the room just feels right—good food, good people, and a space where everyone gets to show up exactly as they are. This year, Cascade Forward will be there in full force, not as organizers, but as neighbors doing our part.
The event is open to all, but bear in mind it is for LGBTQ+ folks and allies.
We’ll be running a food drive throughout the event, collecting shelf-stable items for families in our community who are feeling the squeeze this winter. Cowlitz has more need than most people realize, and the LGBTQ+ community is often hit hardest when resources run thin. If we’re serious about standing together, then showing up with real, tangible help is part of the deal.
Bring what you can—canned goods, rice, beans, pasta, personal essentials. If you can’t bring much, that’s fine. Just being there matters too. These small acts stack up, and they’re how we build a town that actually takes care of its own.
See you at Queersgiving. Let’s feed people, lift each other up, and keep pushing forward.
